Hands Made To Hold

Sponsorship Package for the Stage Play
'Hands Made To Hold'

Premier: October 2017

Deeply inspired by true-life accounts, and the novella contained in the writer’s 2010 anthology 'And This Too Shall Pass' ,‘Hands Made To Hold’ is a powerful stage play that speaks to the ravages of domestic violence and sheds an uncompromising light into the condition and course of today’s relationships.

“Too many women AND men are dying everyday because, quite frankly, too many women AND men ‘see the signs’ and simply turn the other way. My personal belief is that, having now partnered with nationally-recognized advocates Carolyn White-Washington (Sisters4Sisters, Inc.), Jewel Ilasia (An Earthly Embrace), and Tawanna Terrell (Terrell Entertainment, LLC) this story will resonate with audiences everywhere in such a manner that it causes them to revisit their views on the issue of domestic violence, and prayerfully encourages them get involved in helping to end this vicious cycle.”

Darrell A. Cador began his writing career in 2006 as a self-published author with his first release ‘When Seasons Change’ followed by his 2007 novel titled ‘A Good Woman Is Hard To Find’. In 2010 Darrell released his first anthology project ‘And This Too Shall Pass’; a collection of three superbly crafted novellas that speak of the pain often accompanied by love. The third of these three novellas, aptly titled Hands Made To Hold soon became the inspiration for the stage play. Darrell is currently a member of both the American Association of Community Theaters and Urban Playwrights United.

‘Hands Made To Hold’, which was officially accepted into the 2013 Atlanta Black Theatre Festival, marks the writing, producing and directorial debut of Darrell A. Cador and serves as the company’s inaugural stage play production. With multiple scripts from this emerging playwright awaiting their due season, excitement looms large for the staff, cast and crew at Darrell A. Cador Productions, leaving them happily poised for growth, longevity, and continued success.

Currently Darrell is wrapping up final preparations for Darrell A. Cador Productions’ highly-anticipated sophomore project ‘A Black Woman's Worth’ as well as the soul-stirring stage production ‘Trouble Don't Last Always’. Darrell also plans to transition into film and is writing the screenplay for a future project titled ‘In Harm’s Way’.

'Hands Made To Hold'
A Traveling and Touring Stage Production

‘Life’ and ‘Love’ have finally found their way into Denise Townsend’s heart ; but is she willing to sacrifice them both in her ‘Pursuit of Happiness?’ These and other thought-provoking questions are raised and answered in the powerful stage play 'Hands Made To Hold', a story about the sunshine and rain of today’s relationships. In her quest to be the perfect woman for the ‘perfect man’ Denise must decide if giving up everything is worth having it all!

“This is a story I’ve been wanting to write for some time now; a story that challenges your emotions on every level and leaves you nearly breathless right up until the final scene. I recommend this stage play to every theatergoer in the country and, after seeing it, chances are you’ll recommend it as well.” For a sneak preview cut and paste the following link, https://www.facebook.com/SassyE1/posts/10209348931372882 into your address bar, click and enjoy. Kindly leave a comment as well.
